Dick Smith Products

We see so many Australian companies disappear lately, like the most recent being Holden. Dick Smith closed down the food business a while back now, whilst not as iconic as the likes of Holden, Dick Smith tried to make a huge change for us Aussies, and we totally ignored it, Shame!

Hey, I fully understand we look for cheaper prices when it comes to groceries, well for most items to be quite honest. But there is a few we don’t seem to care about too, let’s take the likes of the price of a to go coffee, roughly $6.00 per unit, many buy per day also. If these people had one less coffee a week, and utilised that money to buy Dick Smith products instead of foreign nationals, this would never have happened. They would have contributed to jobs, economy, food safety & ingredients, to say the least.

I thought the future of the country relied on our kids having a job, factories to work at, creating many prospects, being able to mortgage a house, safe food & environment practices. Many will throw their money to climate change agendas, whilst at the same time creating another emergency, that being the job security & affordability crisis!

Good on Dick Smith for giving it his best, what a great business thinker and generous businessman. Pity we didn’t take heed, the products were great, I especially loved the cereal and bought it often. Time to bring Australian business back to our shores, create opportunities rather than take them away. You can read more on the closure here >>> https://dicksmithfoods.com.au/dick-smith-foods-close/
