Collectors of soft drinks are adding old vintage wax (paraffin) paper drinking straws to their collections.
Paper straws were patented by Marvin Stone, the process of winding paper into a tubular straw around 1888, designed for alcoholic drinks. Hospitals replaced surgical glass straws with hygenic paper in the 30’s, Milk Bars & Cafes followed the trend when the new flex (bendable) straw was created by American Joseph B. Friedman…
