Old Laundry Detergents

Fab, Omo, Rinso, Spree, were around in the 60’s, we’ve used one or all of them for years to clean our clothes. Even the local Milk Bar would stock a few of each of the more popular brands for sale as a convenience.

In the 60’s and 70’s the packets often chose people charactures showing huge smiles and how stoked they are to be using brand X.

Today it’s all about the brand ‘name and logo’ only, clearly taking up prime real estate on the front of their packets on the supermarket shelves.

Photographed are two good examples of this kind of retro packaging and marketing.

Dishwashing is another one that fell into this same category….. more pics and details when available.
