Plucka Duck Lolly Jar

Here’s a fairly rare find.

Old Plucka Duck Lolly Jar 1995

I believe these were purchased from the Channel GTV9 shop after a taping of the show, I’ve managed to find 2 over the years.

I’m interested to see if anyone else has one of these, I have seen one for sale on Ebay, however in general they are difficult to find, please comment below…….

This is a clear plastic Jar, the lid has Plucka on it and screws off to fill with lollies. Guesstimate : $25 – 50 pending condition / desirability.

I believe they came from Target stores filled with lollies
My older brother had this one.. I had one the same but with Darth Vader
I don’t recall what my 2 sisters or younger brother had tho

I recall with mine I pulled the lid out of the base of the character top, cut a slot in it and replaced Darth Vader on top and used it as a money box

Just had a google search… this was the Vader one I had..
Also just read there were other SW ones.. R2D2, C3P0 and Darth Maul

This site http://www.deepwoods.org/phantom_news_old3.html (scroll to 22 March 1997) makes mention of Target.. and says
“You can fill it with your selection of mixed lollies and pay $4.50 (I think) for the lot.”

Which would make sense and is probably why I was remembering Target… because that was back in the day when Target had all the open tubs of lollies and you got a paper cup and could fill it up and mix and match lollies.. and you paid by the cup size (S M or L) Was always fun as a kid trying to get it as full as you can and fill every little gap… and then trying to get the plastic lid to stay on

I may be remembering wrong, But pretty sure my younger brother had this one… and I reckon my younger sister had a barbie one or some kind of fairy character maybe

Either way this was another one from the range

Love that Phantom jar, pretty cool. So Target Stores had these you say? The fairy character.. do you remember if it was the one from ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’ cause there was a barbie doll they used and called it “Angel” (and Chroma keyed into the scene)? Thanks heaps for the photos.
